Xiaomi 12 is a compact power plant that aims to offer the best possible in smaller form factors. The pro variant, on the other hand, is not only aimed, but actually seems to provide the best expected of the flagship level device. And thus, it comes with a specification like an AMOLED 2K screen with a 120Hz smart dynamic refresh speed.

This feature is shown through a new video demonstration posted by Wei Siqi, Xiaomi 12 series product manager. The video is not just a regular demo, because it also shows in front of Xiaomi 12 Pro for the first time

A very slim bezel surrounds the screen and they seem to have a width almost at all. While the video does not show selfie cameras, photos that are officially released have shown Xiaomi 12 Pro with a small punch hole that is in harmony with the central. The corners of the device are also trimmed and don’t look really done in Xiaomi Mi 11

But the actual spotlight of course the second generation low-power 2K screen that adjusts the level of refresh according to touch feedback, operation, and even content. Xiaomi claims that this is better than LTPO ‘traditional’ technology, developed by Apple and displayed on the iPhone 13 Pro.

The video demo shows the appearance of Xiaomi 12 Pro runs smoothly at 120Hz when the Weibo social media application is being scrolled. But when I went idle, it immediately fell to 10Hz. It will help save a lot of power when compared to other high android rate rate devices that only switch between 60Hz and 90Hz / 120Hz based on the foreground application

However, if the phone detects video content on the screen, the speed of refresh is adjusted to 60Hz than to 10Hz to ensure that the video is played smoothly. All of this seems to be handled a bit smooth and instant, and users may not notice that the speed of refresh is being adjusted constantly.

Xiaomi 12 Pro is expected to be launched together with Xiaomi 12 on December 28 that runs MIUI 13.
