Danica Mckellar, an actress who plays Winnie Cooper in “The Wonder Years” gave up acting to pursue a career in mathematics, and now she explains why.

The youngest son of McKellar, Draco, recently interviewed him to ET and asked, “You are my age when you act in ‘The Wonder Years.’ What do you remember the most about those years? “

McKellar said it was difficult to balance work and school.

“What I remember the most is turning into an actress and doing my homework,” he said. “There are many alternating to the school trailer.”

When taking a break from acting, he became a famous mathematician. McKellar has written 11 children’s books about mathematics.

His son asked why.

“When and why do you decide to rest from acting and become a mathematician?” Draco asked.

“I went to UCLA, but when I was in college, wherever I went, people on all campuses shouted, you know, ‘Hey, Winnie!’ Or ‘Hey, I love you in’ The Wonder Years! ‘”Said McKellar his character at the event.

“I can’t leave from that. So I need to find out my value from Winnie Cooper, and mathematics is a challenge and I am good at that. And I like the feeling that my grades and important things have nothing to do with my feelings.” Watch or by television, “he said.

He also told his son that while life was a difficult actor, he would support him if he chose the path.

“Draco, I will support you in whatever you want to do. I will put you through the acting class and help guide you,” he said.
